Looking into art to inspire my packaging for Canada Goose

To begin idea generation for creating cover art for the packaging, I decided it would be best to look into the work of other artists to further inspire what I will do for mine. On this blog post I will be exploring different artist's work.
The Laughing Mule
I love the work of The Laughing Mule. His work focuses quite closely on negative and positive space and I think this would be perfect for my packaging. Luxury to me is very basic and straight forward. This style of art fits that criteria and I think I could create really unique luxury packaging with it. Using the white background on the packaging would be really great for this style of art as I could use the whole packaging for it. I want to encorporate the style of The Laughing Mule with polar bears as I think I could use the black negative space for a great message for climate change.
Van Nishing
After seeing John Moore's work and seeing his focus on circular imagery, this inspired me to combine it with the Canada Goose logo. Since luxury is straight forward and the more minimal it is, the better, I could mix the logo with a polar bear for the front cover and go from there. This could scream luxury especially in minimal colours and I could do a lot with this. Having an interesting background to follow it will also add to this and I am very excited to experiment with this!
I love this piece called 'Thanks Man' by Scott Brooker. I would love to tackle a drawing like this as it fits my style so well - the problem is my target audience. Would this be appropriate for a child to see? Also would this fit what the brand stands for? It is an interesting take and represents more than likely how animals feel about people. This could be a fun experimentation I could do but could also be quite risky. Something to think about!
