Creating the inserts for my packaging

Today I created the inserts for my packaging. This will inform the customers about the backstory of PBI and ATIGI as well as how Canada Goose approach sustainability. 

Here are the designs:


My idea for this design was to print out another vinyl design of the Canada Goose logo and add it on top. This would add a nice luxury touch to it. However, due to the sizing and how everything has gone, it would be too much of a hassle so I decided against this.



I copied and pasted these off of the Canada Goose website.

I then added my own additional text to the bottom of the sustainability promise to inform the customer on how the packaging works. The great thing with this is the inserts are 100% recycable.

I then ran into a problem...

The ink in my printer was running low on particular shades. So unfortunately I could not keep consisten with the gold and black design. I then took this opportunity to experiment and I ended up with these new designs:




I think this worked out great as I used the original colouring of the Canada Goose logo. This worked really well and I was very happy with the end results. 

I then wanted to add a vinyl design to the back of the sustainability promise card.

Here is how everything looked in the end:






I think this worked really well and looks extremely luxury!

This is when I moved onto the linen bag design...



I wanted the design to be simple so I made polar bear paw prints. The first one being slightly in the shape of an A to encoporate ATIGI into the design as well as polar bears.

The second design having part of the Canada Goose logo.

Creating an illustrative logo for ATIGI Daisy Jackson / 27/02/2023 The ATIGI range focuses on Native American women. I wanted to highlight this empowerment through a symbol which can be presented in a luxurious way on the packaging.  Here is my logo process: This was inspired by the female gender symbol and I thought it would look great replacing the circle with the Canada Goose logo. After looking at this, I wanted to edit it more and see what I could create. This is the edited version of the original. I loved the way it turned out and looks very professional. Research task- Looking at packaging - 27/01/2023

Research task - Looking at packaging  Daisy Jackson / 27/01/2023 For our first research task set in class, we have been told to look at 5 illustrative, 5 sustainable and 5 luxurious packaging ideas. Illustrative packaging: I absolutely love this packaging as it is extremely interactive. When being placed on a shelf in a store, if displayed correctly, you can create neverending 'Ritz' crackers. I first discovered this packaging while I was at work and loved it. It is so playful and striking and links all the packages together. I think the colours used are striking and catch your eye. The logo is clear in sight and you know what you are purchasing.  I also love this packaging as once again it is interactive for the customer. Once you rip off the cardboard opening, you are greeted with the product which fits really nicely with the packaging. The biscuits can create the illusion of teeth or even a mouth full of biscuits. A downside to this packaging however, could be how flimsy it...

Digitalising packaging design ideas Daisy Jackson / 26/02/2023 Preparing for the midpoint, I wanted to make my design ideas much more visual. This will allow thr judges to see my ideas clearer and see what I want to achieve with this project. This is my poster packaging design. I used actual photos of polar bears as I have no illustrations yet but I wanted to reflect what realism I wanted to achieve as well as my main ideas. I took the original photos and edited them so they were black and white and focused more on positive and negative space. I included a range of different colour choices as well as what I will include for my poster design in the centre of the inside packaging. This will be a combination of all the front cover designs. Including the logo will be great.
